Easily access all bookmarks in Google Chrome

I don’t know about you, but I don’t feel like any major browsers have got their bookmarks/favourites features quite right. One thing I dislike about Google Chrome is when you use the omnibox it favours search results over bookmarks.

Luckily, to make searching them easier, you can give yourself one-click access to Chrome’s bookmark manager by adding this link to your Bookmark bar

chrome://bookmarks/#2

If you leave the name blank you get a nice star icon that matches the rest of Chrome’s toolbar icons

The #2 in the url means it will open at the Other Bookmarks folder but you can use #1 to open at the Bookmark Toolbar or #3 for Mobile Bookmarks (if you have an android phone)

Another feature I just noticed is that the bookmarks manager has sections for recently bookmarked and recent search results, nice!

  1. Wow, that’s pretty cool!! Thank you so much for sharing! I’ve just this morning realised I couldn’t drag my Mobile Bookmarks tab to the Bookmarks bar….so the Google hunt began for a solution – this is the only one I found!! It’s not perfect in that a new page has to open and then you select etc but it’s pretty close!

    Thanks again :-)

    God bless,

    Gareth
